Frederik Andersen had his best-yet sequence of saves with van Riemsdyk off and made 31 stops in all. RelatedAuston Matthews scored in the shootout after getting two assists, but Peter Holland and Marner were stopped, while Jonathan Toews and Artemi Panarin beat Andersen. But van Riemsdyk banged one in from a crease scramble around a shaky Scott Darling, in net with Corey Crawford getting a night off. The Leafs didn’t really lose control and a Jake Gardiner shot banked off Tyler Bozak for the latter’s first of the year. Chicago has not lost to Toronto at home since Feb. 12, 2003, but that includes lockouts and sporadic trips to the Western Conference.
