Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), the student wing of the ruling Awami League, has occupied the Dhaka University campus to prevent “possible sabotage attempts” by Jatiyatabadi Chatra Dal. Chhatra League leaders started gathering at the Teacher-Student Centre (TSC) since early Thursday. They have positioned themselves at key locations on the campus to stop mobilization of BNP student front Chhatra Dal over the verdict against Khaleda Zia in a corruption case. Chhatra League General Secretary SM Jakir Hossain was leading the leaders and activists of the organization at the TSC. “Our goal is to prevent any attempts of sabotage.”This article was first published on banglatribune.com
