The deceased—Limon Mazumder, 28—was vice-president of Chhatra League's Madaripur unit and a third year student of Government Nazim Uddin College. Madaripur Chhatra League President Zahid Hossain Anik said they were deeply shocked by the news of Limon's death. Madaripur Sadar Model police station Officer-in-Charge (OC Investigation) Sirajul Haque Sardar said locals spotted the hanging body in the second story of an under-construction building behind Milon Cinema Hall. Acting on information, police recovered the body and sent it to the Madaripur Sadar Hospital for autopsy, he told the Dhaka Tribune.
