A total of 16 alumni teams comprising only KU graduates registered for the first-ever KUAA football tournament in which the matches were played in accordance with the knockout system. Hundreds of KU graduates gathered at the Bangladesh Water Development Board playground in Banani, Dhaka, to watch, including the semi-finals and the final. KU VC Prof Dr. Mohammad FayekUzzaman and former VC Dr. Golam Rahman, among others, were present on the occasion. In the award-giving ceremony, Dr. FayekUzzaman handed over crests to the champion and runners-up teams. KUAA Convener Saddam Zahir said, “The BWDB playground wore such a festive look that it turned out to be a pleasant get-together for KU graduates.”
