LONDON -- Antonio Conte signed a new two-year contract as manager of English Premier League side Chelsea on Tuesday, the club has confirmed. The new deal comes after the former Italian international won the English top flight in May in his first season in charge at the club. "I am very happy to have signed a new contract with Chelsea," Conte told the club's website. "We worked extremely hard in our first year to achieve something amazing, which I am very proud of. The 47-year-old ex-player, who previously coached the Italian national team and Juventus, guided Chelsea to a record 13 consecutive league wins last season.
