Chelsea have seemingly ramped up their transfer plans ahead of the January window having sent scouts to watch both Moussa Dembele and Timo Werner in action in the Champions League this week. An appeal ahead of the summer transfer window was rejected, meaning they were unable to sign replacements for Eden Hazard along with David Luiz. But their recent appeal against the ban for the January window has been overturned by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). It means the club will now be able to enter the transfer market to bring in new recruits, with the money from Hazard's transfer to Real Madrid potentially available to Frank Lampard. And Lampard has indicated that he plans to sit down with Chelsea officials over the next few weeks in order to find the best possible targets.
