Barkley started brightly for Villa but tailed off significantly and had a very quiet second half of the season on his loan spell. Surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge, both Abraham and Barkley will have plenty of suitors, with West Ham interested in both men. Chelsea want around £40m for Abraham, an asking price which West Ham are unlikely to meet, while the Hammers would prefer a loan move for Barkley to a permanent one. However, with chances already limited, the arrival of any more midfielders or strikers would surely spell the end for Abraham and Barkley.
