Mykhaylo Mudryk will play against Arsenal for the first time in his career this evening and will go face-to-face with the manager who he could have been playing under. Mikel Arteta wanted to sign the Ukraine star in January and comments made prior to his move to Chelsea now make sense. Arsenal were first linked with a move for Mudryk at the end of last summer's transfer window. Arteta was keen on signing a winger but had to make do with what he had for the first half of the season. He spoke on several occasions about the possibility to signing for the Gunners and, almost four months into his Chelsea career, his comments now make sense.
