Kepa – who Chelsea signed for £72million in 2018 – has played second fiddle to Blues summer signing Edouard Mendy for much of the 2020-21 season. But Tuchel handed Kepa his first Premier League start since October on Monday evening as Chelsea welcomed Newcastle United to Stamford Bridge. I thought we had seen the last of him [Kepa] at Chelsea,’ Neville told Sky Sports before the fixture. ‘I think the manager wants to have a look but I also think the hierarchy are asking whether Tuchel can get something out of Kepa.
