Chelsea have enquired into signing Sassuolo and Italy forward Domenico Berardi, according to reports in Italy. Reports last week claimed the Stamford Bridge outfit had failed with an £85million bid to sign Federico Chiesa with Juventus unwilling to open talks over the winger they had signed only last summer. But the latest reports out of Italy now claim the Champions League winners have switched their focus to Chiesa's international team-mate Berardi, who has two years remaining on his Sassuolo contract. Serie A sides AC Milan, Lazio and Fiorentina have also shown an interest in Berardi, but reports suggest he is more likely to leave his home country should he depart this summer. Chelsea's hunt for a new wide forward comes amid reports Callum Hudson-Odoi is set to stay at Stamford Bridge despite renewed interest from Bayern Munich.
