Ajith Kumar, better known as Ajith Shanghumugham among his circle of friends, steps out of the three-wheeler heaving two huge containers, his two school-going children, Allan Ajith and Juliyana John Ajith, in tow. For the past four years, Ajith, a chef from a fishing community from Shanghumugham, has been happy playing a linkman for people wanting to donate food for the needy. During public functions, if the donors are indisposed to deliver the food, Ajith himself picks them up in his autorickshaw, often with the help of his friends, and transports it to the needy. Thus he started a ‘thattukada’ in Abbasiya in Kuwait where, Ajith says, his experimentation with food became an instant hit.
