High school sports is thundering along in The Villages and you can be part of the experience as a member of the Buffalo Booster Club. Whether it’s the frenetic pace of Friday night football or the swish of a basketball hoop, the boosters will be there to cheer on their hometown teams. Former President Ellen Hoffman founded the club nearly 13 years ago, and the Buffalos have been going strong ever since. They’ve even gained about a dozen new members this year, according to current President Ivan Joslin. So if you want to become like a surrogate grandparent to the students, as Joslin describes it, come to The Villages High School cafeteria at 1:15 p.m. on Thursdays.
