Christchurch mountain bikers had podium finishes at an international event in the city on the weekend. The event was the fourth and final stop in the EWS Asia Pacific Continental Series and allowed riders to gain world ranking points for the 2019 Enduro World Series. Christchurch rider Joe Nation took out the men's event, with an overall time of 24 minutes and 28 seconds. Park general manager Anne Newman said she hoped the international event would be the first of many hosted by the park.
