A team from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of police is working at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) to cross-match DNA samples of unidentified victims of the Chawkbazar fire, to hand over the bodies to family members on Friday Syed Zakir Hossain/Dhaka TribuneThe samples will be cross-matched against the DNA of 19 bodies whose identities have yet to be determinedThe Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has collected 32 DNA samples, from relatives of the deceased Chawkbazar fire victims, for cross-matching. The collected samples will be cross-checked against 19 bodies that have yet to be identified. The information was released by the CID at a press briefing on Saturday around 12pm. CID Assistant DNA Analyst Nusrat Yasmeen said: “We have collected the samples. It took 37 fire-fighting units 15 hours to douse the flames.
