In-form Imrul Kayes joined Gayle in the middle and set Chattogram on the way to a win before their respective dismissals. Imrul scored a 22-ball 32 while Gayle added 38 off 49 before becoming the third victim of the Dhaka bowlers when Chattogram was on 102 in 14.4 overs. At that point, putting even 100 runs on the board looked like it would be a daunting task for Dhaka.
