Photo: BSSDHAKA, April 7, 2026 (BSS) - Leaders and activists of Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chatra Dal today brought out a rally on the Dhaka University (DU) campus welcoming newly admitted students for the 2025-26 academic sessions. The rally, led by Chhatra Dal leader Shaikh Tanvir Baree Hamim, began in front of the university's Central Library and marched through key points of the campus before ending in front of the DUCSU building. During the procession, participants chanted slogans such as "Productive education is Chhatra Dal's commitment," "Safe campus is Chhatra Dal's commitment," and called upon freshers to join under the banner of the organisation. He also alleged that many who were involved in repression on campus in the past have now reappeared under different organisational identities. Hamim said Chhatra Dal remains committed to promoting tolerance, progressive politics and a student-friendly, safe campus environment.
