Rino Maltais of Campbellton picked the ace of spades to win $1.3 million in Dalhousie's Chase the Ace. With ticket number 261255 picked and announced, Maltais, and his wife Danielle, made their way to the stage where Maltais picked the card. A blindfolded person picked the winning ticket from the bin. Maltais, and his wife Danielle, will split the $1,311,574 in winnings with her mother. "My mother-in-law never won that much money for babysitting my kids,'' Maltais said in French.
