It can be recalled that dancehall artistes Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy were stripped off their awards and subsequently banned indefinitely from the award scheme after their near-bloody scuffle during the 2019 edition of the VGMA. At the time, Theresa Ayoade, CEO of Charterhouse, explained that “indefinite ban means pending good behaviour” and it is possible for them to be accepted back to the scheme depending on their behaviour in future.
