Charlo breaks hand, postpones performance with SuzyLOS ANGELES: Undisputed world super-welterweight boxing champion Jermel Charlo injured his left hand during training and his January bout with unbeaten Australian Tim Souzi has been postponed, promoters announced on Saturday. The 32-year-old American visited two doctors and a hand specialist in Houston and his hand was placed in a cast, where it will remain for the next two months. Only then will Charlo begin rehabilitating the injury, which he must complete before he can resume training for the fight. Charlo, 35-1-1 with 19 knockouts, spoke confidently about being able to handle Xue, 21-0 with 15 knockouts, despite the injury.
