Charlie Murphy, Eddie Murphy’s brother and a comedian best known for his work on Chapelle’s Show, has died from leukemia at the age of 57, his publicist confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter. Murphy’s debut role was in 1989’s Harlem Nights, directed by Eddie. But it was Chappelle’s Show’s “Charlie Murphy’s True Hollywood Stories” sketches that served as his breakout and most memorable performances. Murphy’s wife of 12 years, Tisha Taylor Murphy, died in 2009 from cervical cancer. They had two children, while he also had another child from a previous relationship.
