She added that she had been mistaken for American model Sasha Grey, which she thought was “sick” because “she’s sick”. The Moment, released in the UK and Ireland on February 20th, will be a fictionalised account of the cultural phenomenon. The singer has immersed herself in the world of film this year, securing roles in movies including Pete Ohs’ Erupcja and Julia Jackman’s 100 Nights Of Hero. Since beginning her career in the 2000s, Charli XCX has achieved nine UK top 10 singles, including two number ones, and two UK number one albums.
