CALGARY — Chris Jones would rather have been talking about football than Charleston Hughes’ fine and deactivation during Friday’s media availability at McMahon Stadium. The discipline results from Hughes, 34, being charged with impaired driving and failing to provide a breath sample for analysis. “I left it open-ended (Thursday) because we were collecting information on the situation since we heard three days ago about what happened,” Jones said. “To my knowledge, this is the first time something like this has happened and that’s certainly not to excuse what happened. He’s got to basically own it and that’s what he’s doing.”Chad Geter is expected to start in place of Hughes.
