GANDER, N.L.—A 21-year-old Newfoundland man is facing charges following a crash near Gander that killed two people earlier this year. Nicholas Villeneuve of Gander was charged Friday with two counts of impaired driving causing death and two counts of impaired driving causing bodily harm. Police allege Villeneuve was behind the wheel of a pickup on July 7 when it collided with an SUV that was carrying four people. The crash killed the driver of the SUV, a 65-year-old man, and a 63-year-old female passenger — both of whom were from Lewisporte, N.L. Villeneuve is scheduled to return to court Feb. 4.
