Judge Mohammad Ali Hossain of the Dhaka’s Third Special Court 3 read out the charges on Sunday and asked them whether they plead guilty or not. The court then fixed October 18 to start recording depositions of prosecution witnesses in the case filed with Ramna police station. Mannan was granted bail on August 24, 2014 considering his illness and status as a former state minister, and his wife got bail on October 23 of the same year after they surrendered. Sayeda Hasina accumulated illegal wealth worth around Tk3.46 crore and concealed information about more than Tk1.86 crore, according to the charges.
