However, immigration services will remain open for passport holders using the land port during that period. Sonamasjid Customs Station Assistant Commissioner, Billal Hossain, said: "Immigration activities will continue normally but the commercial activities of the port will remain closed till June 9.”Sonamasjid Customs Clearing and Forwarding (C&F) Agents Association issued a letter to India’s Mahadipur customs authority confirming the eight-day shutdown, he added.
