Heidi Allen was speaking after Chuka Umunna, Change UK’s principal spokesman, said on Saturday that it would be “sensible” for the party to form a pact not to stand against the Lib Dems in a general election. Ms Allen, who became Change UK’s interim leader when the party was officially formed on April 16, told BBC Radio 5 Live that she would go “one step further” and would “like us to be in the same vehicle”. Asked if she meant the same party, she replied: “Yeah, probably, I don’t know . this partisan thing completely passes me by.
