GUDUPALLI (CHITTOOR DISTRICT): A 30-year-old man on Monday was arrested by police at Kaliganuru village of Santhipuram in Chittoor district for allegedly posting defamatory content against AP chief minister Chandrababu Naidu and his son Lokesh on social media The accused, Basavaraju, has reportedly been morphing pictures of the CM and his son to portray them as being beaten up by women and has also posted objectionable pictures trolling the CM's Nandyal campaign.Basavaraju also reportedly made references to actor and TDP leader Nandamuri Balakrishna. Sources said a TDP leader, Subbu lodged a complaint against Basavaraju. The accused has reportedly been active on social media, posting on Facebook on a page titled 'YSRCPunofficial' and also on WhatsApp.Police registered a case under Sections 341 (wrongful restraint), 355 (criminal force with intent to dishonour person), 469 (forgery for purpose of harming reputation) of IPC against Basavaraju.
