Chanchal Chowdhury in talks to star as “Debu Pandit” in Kolkata web-series "Gonodebota". Director Kamaleswar Mukherjee's series is based on the novels "Gonodebota" and "Panchagram" by Tarasankar Bandyopadhyay. In response to being asked why he chose Chanchal Chowdhury for this role, Mukherjee states, “I think Chanchal is best suited for this role. Early talks about the series have been discussed with him.”Chanchal Chowdhury states on the matter, “We have had initial discussions. However I would not like to make any confirmations before the final talk.”Kolkata actress Arunima Ghosh is to play the role of “Durga” alongside Chanchal in this series.
