The recent Championship season only just finished with Southampton securing a play-off victory over Leeds United at Wembley after Leicester and Ipswich achieved automatic promotion. But now the fixtures for the 2024/25 campaign have been released. Blackburn and Preston both play host with two Friday night games kicking things off on August 9. Derby will head to Ewood Park whilst Sheffield United, who endured a horror season in the Premier League last term as they were relegated, will start their attempt at an immediate return with a trip to Deepdale. Two of Yorkshire's protagonists, Leeds and Sheffield United, will be among the favourites for promotion and they meet for the first time at Elland Road on October 19.
