Hot pop duo The Chainsmokers and singer-songwriter John Mayer have both announced dates this spring at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre — but if you’re more into rock from the 1970s, Monday’s concert revelations has exciting news for you, too. The Chainsmokers, coming off their smash hit “Closer” with Halsey, tout a new single “Paris” as they prepare to play the ACC on May 30; tickets ($48-$108) go on sale Feb. 3 via Livenation.com and Ticketmaster. Before that, though, Mayer brings his “The Search for Everything” tour to the same venue on April 3; tickets ($40-$125) on sale as per Chainsmokers, above. Also coming to town: a Deep Purple-Alice Cooper double bill (tickets $40-$100 on sale as per Chainsmokers) hits the Budweiser Stage on Sept. 2 and — if that’s not enough ’70s nostalgia for you — the Steve Miller Band and Peter Frampton play that same stage on June 20 (tickets $25--$125 as above). See collectiveconcerts.com for details on those gigs.
