Iraq continues as the prime destination for Sri Lanka’s tea exports purchasing 39.3 million kg up by 15 per cent compared to the previous year. Russia follows with 21.5 million kg down from 24.9 million kg the year before. Turkey has moved up significantly by 20 per cent YOY with shipments rising sharply to 21.2 million kg from 17.7 million kg. Exports to Iran remain flat at 10.39 million kg followed by Azerbaijan at 8.9 million kg.
