Bengaluru: The Union government sought a report from Kerala on Thursday on the recent incidents of political violence in the state. The report was sought by Union home minister Rajnath Singh, who called up Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan and discussed the issue, according to a senior communist leader and cabinet minister who did not want to be named. “Spoke to Kerala CM Shri Pinarayi Vijayan regarding the recent incidents of political violence in the state. The BJP is observing a ‘black day’ in Kerala on Thursday to protest against the recurring attacks against its workers, from which the CPM has tried to distance itself.
