Deputy Minister Digital Economy Eranga Weeraratna told the Sunday Times Business that his ministry is working on integrating all systems in government departments into one common platform. “We are in the final phase of getting the cabinet approval for a common marketplace solution, such as an ERP platform for all state entities. All ministries and authorities are in alliance with the Ministry of Digital Economy for guidance on their digitalisation efforts. In a bid to encourage more entrepreneurship, he said that the government will allow and cheer local start-ups to bid for state procurement.
