The 11-member team is headed by B.R.Sharma, Special Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs. The second team led by Yogesh Suri, Adviser, NITI Aayog, is slated to visit the affected areas in Thrissur, Palakkad and Malappuram. Mehra and Anil Kumar will survey the flood- hit areas in Ernakulam, Alappuzha and Kollam districts. Kurian, Member Secretary, State Disaster Management Authority, Sekhar Kuriakose and District Collectors would brief the Central team on the havoc caused by the floods. The team is scheduled to meet Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and discuss their assessment of the situation with him before their return on Monday.
