On Thursday Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O Panneerselvam met Prime Minister Narendra Modi with a demand to bring ordinance. Sources confirmed to India Today that PM assured the CM that Centre will help the state in case the state takes the ordinance route. Tamil Nadu CM then extends his stay in capital and holds discussion with legal expert till late night. Environment Minister Anil Madhav Dave confirmed to India Today, Home Ministry is already in consultation with law and environment ministry. On Friday 45 AIADMK MP met Home Minister, while Tamil Nadu BJP president Tamilisai Soundarajan met Environment Minister Anil Madhav Dave.
