Celtic and Rangers ’ hopes of landing Tyrese Campbell have taken a hit with Sheffield United looking to sign the in-demand Stoke striker this month. Celtic and Rangers have both been looking to agree pre-contract deals with Campbell, which would allow them to hand over less than £400,000 in cross-border compensation to Stoke in the summer. Stoke might now push the England Under-20 international towards Sheffield United, with more money set to be on offer, even though it’ll mean losing him before the end of the season. Campbell has issued an ultimatum, demanding Stoke chiefs make him a fresh offer to stay put beyond the end of the season by the end of this week.
