Chang will start the post of principal guest conductor for the 2022/23 seasonFollowing a successful short-term stand-in engagement conducting the Symphoniker Hamburg in October 2021, Han-na Chang will become the orchestra’s principal guest conductor from the 2022/2023 season. Since 2017, Chang has been artistic director and principal conductor of the Trondheim Symfoniorkester in Norway, as the first female conductor in the post. From 2012 until 2014, she served as music director for the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra. In addition, Han-Na Chang founded the Absolute Classic Festival in South Korea in 2009, which she directed until 2014. She has worked with many well-known orchestras including the Berlin Philharmonic, New York and Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Munich Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra, Orchester de Paris, Filarmonica della Scala, Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia , Cleveland Orchestra, Chicago and Boston Symphony Orchestra and San Francisco Symphony.
