The long-term pals are among many celebs who have reportedly signed up to be part of Simon Cowell's revamped version of The X Factor which is due to air in the Autumn. (Image: PA Archive/PA Images)It's a bold move from Brendan who has never been one to shy away from controversy. They will competed with other bands including a Love Island supergroup and a team of singing rugby hunks. The new X Factor show is one of two rebooted versions of the singing series that Simon Cowell has created, along with a Champions edition featuring former contestants in a bid to increase the ever sliding ratings. If their performance on X Factor doesn't see them offered a record deal, it will be amusing to say the least.
