CourtesyRoom to Read Bangladesh celebrates the International Day of Gild Child 2019Room to Read Bangladesh, the Bangladesh chapter of the international NGO, celebrated International Day of the Girl Child 2019 with the theme ‘GirlForce: Unscripted and Unstoppable’ on November 12. The event was presided over by Rakhi Sarkar, Country Director, Room to Read Bangladesh. Around 750 girls have completed secondary education and are in tertiary education. Bonna Mirza emphasized on the roles of family and parents for promoting child education along with role of the state and schools. Currently, under the Girls’ Education Program; Room to Read Bangladesh is supporting more than five thousand girls in 32 secondary schools in Dhaka, Natore and Sirajganj.
