According to a Joy Business report monitored by GhanaWeb, the cedi’s performance is almost similar from that of 2020. Martey attributed the cedi’s strong performance as a result of the Bank of Ghana’s intervention measures put in place particularly in the Forex (FX) Forward market. Meanwhile, some economists have indicated that the Ghanaian cedi is expected to enjoy some stability against major trading currencies throughout this year. Globally, many currencies’ performance have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and has ravaged economies.
