On the Bank of Ghana’s market, the buying rate stood at GH¢10.4448 and the selling rate at GH¢10.4552, signalling continued stability in the early days of 2026. On the forex bureau market, the cedi traded stronger, with a buying rate of GH¢11.85 and a selling rate of GH¢12.35 to the dollar. The performance comes on the heels of a strong year-end showing in 2025, when the cedi closed at roughly GH¢10.45 to the dollar on the interbank market. For other major currencies, the pound sterling and euro also showed moderate spreads, with the interbank buying and selling rates indicating relatively stable currency conditions at the start of the year.
