The province of Cebu has begun closing its borders to air and sea travel as a drastic measure to keep out the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-2019). Starting 12:01 a.m., March 18, all ports in Cebu province will be closed to passenger travel. Last Sunday, Cebu City Mayor Edgardo Labella placed the city on community quarantine to control the spread of Covid-19. Cebu City remained free of the Covid-19 as of Monday. Cebu City employees will have to report to work from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Mondays to Thursdays.
