A north Nelson intersection that has been the site of a fatal accident and several crashes should be improved quickly, says Cawthron Institute head. The chief executive of Nelson's Cawthron Institute is pleading for action to fix a "frightening" Nelson intersection used by its staff, other businesses and residents. LUZ ZUNIGA Cawthron Institute chief executive Charles Eason is calling for action to improve safety at the intersection of State Highway 6 and Glen Road. "Cawthron has previously raised concerns about that intersection with NZTA (Waka Kotahi New Zealand Transport Agency) and we believe that there are serious road engineering issues." LUZ ZUNIGA The intersection is used by residents and hundreds of staff and visitors to the Cawthron Institute aquaculture park at the Glen.
