Cauvery dispute: Karnataka pleads with SC to modify its order


New Delhi: Karnataka moved the Supreme Court on Monday seeking modification of the court’s order to release 6,000 cusecs of water per day to Tamil Nadu between 21 and 27 September. According to the affidavit filed by the state, Karnataka has claimed that its reservoirs do not have sufficient water. Lalit ordered fresh release of water and had asked the Centre to constitute a Cauvery Management Board (CMB), an expert resolution body, within four weeks.
