Catholic bishops stand on repeat poll

DIALOGUEThe Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB) asked President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition chief Raila Odinga to dialogue on the stalemate on the repeat polls and advocate for peace amongst their supporters. The bishops asked leaders to exercise their authority with caution and restraint, warning that they will be held accountable for their actions. HARD STANCEBoth President Kenyatta and Mr Odinga have maintained their hard stance ahead of the fresh poll. Mr Odinga withdrew from the presidential race and accused the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) of failing to initiate reforms that marred the annulled August 8 presidential election.
