LEGAZPI CITY –– The island province of Catanduanes will not allow entry of visitors, tourists and persons who manifest symptoms of coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) starting Sunday. Acting governor Shirley Abundo, in an executive order, said any resident, who manifests symptoms of COVID-19 should immediately go to the nearest facility for treatment outside the province. ADVERTISEMENTExempted are persons working in the province, those attending official travel with certification from government physician as COVID-19-free, and anyone who will transport laboratory specimens. All the qualified persons to enter the province will be directed for a mandatory self-quarantine at home for 14 days. They should report to the barangay health emergency team through phone calls or text message until completion of the quarantine period.
