The cabinet also approved a plan to open modern residential schools for students belonging to the minority community studying in classes IX, X, XI and XII. At present, there are 33 minority hostels in which 3,350 boys and girls belonging to the minority community reside. Subhani said the cabinet also approved the Bihar Rajya Alpsankhyak Awasiya Vidyalaya Yojana and its guidelines for all-round development of students belonging to the minority community. Boys and girls of the minority community, whose parents' annual income is less than Rs 6 lakh, will be eligible for admission," Subhani said. Such schools will be opened in all districts and their numbers will be decided as per the requirement.
