Saad Uddin Ahmed, range officer of Sari Range under Sylhet division, filed the case with Jaintiapur police station under the Wildlife (Conservation and Security) Act at around 4pm on Saturday. Jaintiapur police station Officer-in Charge (OC) Shyamal Banik confirmed the matter. Among the accused, two were identified as Abdul Halim, 20, Md Shahriar Ahmed, 19, said Shyamal. As soon as the photos of the dead animals began circulating on social media, netizens condemned the misdeed.
