Cars slide off icy roads as chilly morning greets manyAUDREY MALONE/FAIRFAX NZ. Extremely slippery conditions in the Bay of Plenty prompted police to put out an ice warning for motorists. A continuing cold snap has seen cars slide off the roads as freezing conditions hit parts of the country. FOGGY STARTHamilton welcomed the week with another foggy morning, with fog also being reported in Northland and Bay of Plenty early on Monday. Around 6am on Monday, the temperature in Hamilton, Hastings and Masterton was about -1 degree Celsius.
