Photo:Getty ImagesSuperstar Lisa Carrington and her Kiwi kayaking team-mates have capped a record-breaking performance at the world championships, capturing gold and bronze on the final day at Racice, Czech Republic. The two-time Olympic champion continued her seven-year reign in her specialty K1 200, winning the event for the fifth time. On Saturday, Carrington and Ryan combined for gold in the K2 500, about an hour after Carrington was edged to silver in the K1 500. ‘‘Having that dream of being a world champion is one thing, but even better, doing it with your mate, your team-mate and someone who really inspires you is really, really exciting,’’ said Ryan.
